About me.
I’m Sara—a developer-turned-product manager with deep entrepreneurial roots. I spent several years running my own business, wearing every hat from marketer to operations to customer support. It taught me how to build from scratch, understand customers intimately, and stay comfortable in ambiguity. That experience now fuels how I work in product: I listen for the real problem, simplify relentlessly, and help teams move with alignment and purpose.
Outside of tech, I volunteer as a photographer for a nonprofit supporting people with disabilities. It’s a different kind of design work—creating space where people feel confident and seen—but it centers the same values: empathy, clarity, and intention. Whether I’m shaping a roadmap or framing a shot, I’m driven by the desire to remove friction and make meaningful experiences for real people.

Product Manager
Resident Interface / 2025 - Current
I’m the Lead Product Manager for Possession Partner, Resident Interface’s PropTech/LegalTech platform that streamlines the eviction workflow from intake through judgment and set-out. I drive the outcome-based roadmap and partner with operations, attorneys, clients, and engineering to turn messy, jurisdiction-specific processes into clear, automated workflows. My focus has been reducing manual data entry, stabilizing legacy systems, and integrating deeply with court portals—so filings are faster, more accurate, and easier to manage for everyone involved.

Software Development Manager
Resident Interface / 2023 - 2025
Previously, I served as a Software Development Manager at Resident Interface, leading a global engineering team across five countries to stabilize and modernize a high-risk legacy platform. I focused on reliability, performance, and scalability while building out a healthy product and delivery cadence—voice-of-customer, epics/PRDs, backlog grooming, and predictable releases. I also rolled out agile practices and Atlassian tooling company-wide and used targeted automation/RPA to reduce manual work, which helped cut major incidents and unlock faster, safer deployments. Along the way, I was honored as the 2024 Shared Services Employee of the Year for technical leadership and execution.

Software Developer
Resident Interface / 2022 - 2023
I joined Resident Interface as a Software Developer, working on a legacy evictions platform where I shipped features and reliability fixes that made the product more stable, accurate, and safer to change. I spent a lot of time in PHP/CodeIgniter and MySQL, tightening up API contracts, adding tests, and improving logging so issues were easier to catch and diagnose. I also built reusable, jurisdiction-specific email flows and documentation that reduced repeat defects—contributions that led to a fast promotion into engineering leadership.

Product & Full-Stack Developer
Freelance / 2014 - 2022
I freelanced at the intersection of full-stack development, product strategy, and digital marketing, mainly for education and arts organizations. I owned the full product lifecycle—from discovery and UX flows to launch and ongoing optimization—building things like a school platform for ~200 students (registration, payments, bookstore, RBAC) and a theatre site with interactive seat selection and self-serve tools for non-technical staff. I backed it all with analytics, A/B testing, and SEO/email/social campaigns to actually move the needle on enrollments and ticket sales.

Founder & CEO
babySNAZZ LLC / 2005 - 2014
I founded and ran babySNAZZ, a niche e-commerce brand for infant, toddler, and maternity products, where I owned everything from product vision and site build to daily operations and go-to-market. I designed and developed the storefront, built custom tools for inventory and pricing, and automated key workflows so the business could scale without burning out the team. On the growth side, I led vendor relationships and ran SEO, email, social, and seasonal campaigns—blending full-stack development with hands-on retail and operations strategy.

Software Engineer II
Raytheon / 2002 - 2004
Early in my career, I worked as a Software Engineer II at Raytheon on the Engineering Tools team, building and enhancing internal web applications that kept projects and people moving—things like action item tracking, skills databases, feedback tools, and process change systems. I partnered with cross-functional teams to upgrade core tools (like Ergo and MTRAK), streamline workflows, and make data easier to access, which gave me a strong foundation in building pragmatic, business-focused software.

System Developer
Angelo State University / 1999-2001
While still an undergrad at Angelo State University, I was hired into the IT team based on academic performance and started my career maintaining COBOL batch and online systems for student records, finance, and HR. I supported nightly batch runs, helped with post-Y2K remediation and change control, and wrote runbooks that made on-call issues faster and less stressful to resolve.
